Liam Gallagher Set To Release LP
Front man of Oasis Liam Gallagher, has announced that he will be releasing an LP with the other members of Oasis, minus his brother Noel according to reports form the BBC.
Oasis the once widely popular band, broke up in August of 2009 while touring in France (how fitting). Lead Guitarist Noel cited his brothers’ behavior as his reason for leaving, but I think it had more to do with the long standing fact that they can’t fucking get along.
In a recent interview with MTV Italy, Liam discussed his plans for their new material, “We’ve been demoing some songs that we’ve had on the quiet. After Christmas we might go in the studio and record it and hopefully have an album out in July.”
The band will consist of Liam on vocals with ex members Gem Archer, Andy Bell with new comer Zak Starkey. Liam explains, “We’ll do it in a different kind of way now. I’ll try and reconnect with a new band, new songs and I’m feeling confident about the songs.”
Furthermore, Liam exuded a typical rock star confidence when discussing his anticipations, exclaiming “I’m feeling a million per cent confident that they could be better than Oasis.”
I would release the record before I go that far Liam. I know that your massive ego is telling you that your new record will be bigger than the bible, but let’s hold off on those kinds of remarks until we(meaning anyone other than yourself) hears the music.
In his closing remarks, Liam had some poignant remarks about his successful, but often turbulent relationship with Noel, “I love him to bits but we just don’t get on. Me and our kid have never been that close anyway. Alright, we were in the band but we kept ourselves to each other, he’d do his thing and I’d do my thing, I’ve got my friends, he’s got his friends.”
