SXSW Watch – Karnivool

Not many rock bands have excited me lately, but when I heard Karnivool I lost my S*%t!!

These Australians have crafted a complex sound of epic beauty and grinding intensity – they’re not afraid to explore new sounds and bend the rules of genre as Ian Kenny’s masterful voice guides you along a journey with surprises around every corner.

Karnivool recently played the sold-out BIG DAY OUT 2010 Music Festival in Australia alongside Muse, The Mars Volta, The Horrors, and Mastadon. The band’s appearance at SXSW will kick off their first United States tour in more than three years.
