Anna Rose to Play Hotel Cafe
Attention all Los Angeles folk lovers. On Tuesday, January 12th folk artist Anna Rose will be performing at that notorious haunt for everything singer/songwriter-Hotel Cafe. Rose will share the bill with Friedman Orchestra, Garrison Starr and Daphne Willis.
Rose
A self confessed guitar head, Rose has been playing the six string since an early age. The moment after her cousin demonstrated a g chord, it was over-solidified guitarist. In time, Rose would train with guitar virtuoso Arlan Roth ( who played alongside Dylan and Paul Simon) honing her skills and picking up new influences like Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters.
To date, Rose has released one self titled EP and has a full length debut “Nomad” slated for release this spring. “Nomad” was produced by William (Billy) Sullivan and will feature five songs off her EP. Legendary producer for The Doors (one of Rose’s biggest influences) Bruce Botnick was the executive producer on the record-a very promising sign.
Rose is not a new comer to the stage. She has been hitting the indie folk circuit for a while, building fan bases in New York, Los Angeles and Austin. Her live performance has been described as infectious and down to earth. I have posted some of her tracks below so you can see for yourself.
